Scotland, Elgin and Dunkeld

Hewigo looking good in Scotland

Hewigo has recently undertaken two major installations to the north and south of the Grampians. In Elgin, Susan Yau now has a 3-pan Hewigo counter range to serve her customers at the busy Ca’Dora take-away and restaurant. The range is fitted with full length heated display, low level computerised controls, fully automatic twin-pipe filtration system and Hewigo’s unique highlight/low heat jacketed halogen heat lamps.

Susan, a highly experienced operator with another shop in nearby Forres and used to the demands of a busy location says, “We have a Hewigo range at the Forres shop so I know that it can cope with the needs of my business.”

Down in Dunkeld, a bustling market and tourist centre, Scott Davie owns the Dunkeld Fish Bar. “Our old range, that I inherited when I bought the shop, was too complicated and unreliable. I wanted something that was easy to operate, reliable and not cheap but not costing the earth either. The Hewigo range came highly recommended.”

Consistent quality is also very important to Scott. The shop was recently featured on Sky Television’s ‘Lord of the Fries’ programme with a visit from England cricketer Andrew (Freddie) Flintoff and was chosen because it was the holder of the only 5-star Quality Award in the area.

Phillip Purkiss, Managing Director of Hewigo UK comments, “Scotland is an area where we are developing quickly and have local representation there through Keith McLaren at Frytech Ltd. It is an area that takes its take-away fried food very seriously with several winners of the Fish & Chip Shop of the Year over the last few years. We provide quality ranges at a true value for money price.”

Phillip Purkiss, Managing Director of Hewigo UK, comments, “Although the two shops are in different locations it shows how a successful formula can be repeated especially when it involves a Hewigo range.”
