King Kod 2 now showing with help from Hewigo
Asif Ali opened his first fish and chip shop whilst still a student. Then after getting a good offer for it, he took a year off before opening King Kod in Preston 12 years ago. Now after quite a long search for the right premises King Kod 2 has opened its doors in another area of Preston.
He has completely refurbished these superbly located premises and the centrepiece is a new Hewigo 3-pan High Efficiency range with full length heated top display, LED lighting and finished in the stylish black, grey and white décor characteristic of King Kod 1.
“In many ways it’s very different opening a second shop than the first. Your priorities change,” says Asif. “With the first King Kod I spent a lot of time looking at several range makers before I went for Hewigo. This time the choice was easy. I had such a good experience with the range, had complete faith in Hewigo’s expertise and I knew that they had constantly developed the technology and features of the range. I also believe that it’s very important to retain consistency between this and my other shop to ensure high standards.”
The business so far has more than exceeded Asif’s expectations. It is located within an area of mixed housing, close to a large high school and on the main road to Lytham St. Annes. So it has also benefited from both local and passing traffic as the parking is excellent. “The great thing about Hewigo High Efficiency is that no matter how busy we are the range delivers consistently,” adds Asif.
